AMA San Diego Cause Conference 2010

The San Diego Chapter of the American Marketing Association will host the 12th Annual Cause Conference on Wednesday, March 10th at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice at the University of San Diego. Speakers and workshops will focus on the latest marketing and fundraising information to help nonprofits reach new heights despite the recession. Early registration rates for AMA Members, Cause partners (YNPN San Diego!) and nonprofits start at $109 and non-member registration rates start at $129. Register by March 3 to receive the greatest discounts. Some scholarships are available for the event.

With the 2010 Winter Olympics fast approaching, this year’s conference offers the theme “Go Further. Aim Higher. Finish Strong.”

Conference topics include:
  • Partnerships: Cultivating mutually-beneficial corporate relationships
  • Social Media: Leveraging social media and online marketing best practices
  • Public Speaking: Selecting topics and audiences that maximize influence
  • Return on Investment: Maximizing your marketing with measurement
  • Marketing Leadership: Casting the vision and managing expectations
2010 keynote speakers include:
  • Will Marre Co-founder and former president, Covey Leadership Center
  • Jocelyn Daw, Author, Cause Marketing for Nonprofits
The agenda also includes a diverse selection of workshops facilitated by noteworthy
marketing and nonprofit leaders, including: Dr. John Burnett, Neville Billimoria, Becky Carroll, Deirdre Maloney, Scott Pansky, Sherri Petro and Parker Pike.
